They represent a range unmatched anywhere, yet at the same time these rare species are not necessarily difficult to grow. Most are offered as flowering sized bulbs but many of the Amaryllids are notorious for not flowering after transplanting, or until they become pot-bound.

 They do need patience. Bulbs have either been raised here or have come to us from other, certified or licensed nurseries, to my knowledge none are wild collected. Sizes vary from 3 year seedlings (about the youngest that we sell) up to mature bulbs.
